Activism Social Science Club

Activism social Science club

Activism Social Science Club is now a subsidiary wing of the Activism Foundation for Social Research and Action. However, the Club predates the Foundation and began its journey on 19th March 2016 with a big dream and high aspirations. It is an association of volunteers in the social science domain, which aims to generate and popularize research-based systematic knowledge for wellbeing in everyday life. In modern civilization, people are suffering from various functional problems at the individual, institutional and community levels. Activism helps the agency to find out the functional pressure point of each human action uniquely, through investigation and research-based analysis. It also motivates individuals to transcend the obstacles, by changing action patterns and alternative praxis. It provides an open space to the agency to exhale one’s inner stuff with full commitment to maintain confidentiality. Activism believes that research-based knowledge is superior and authentic under any circumstances. It creates a scope for the dissemination of research-based knowledge in everyday life. It enables agency more adept even under any unchangeable structural conditions by increasing functionality. Activism deals with the functional problem with a context-specific approach suitable to the type and nature of the problem. Activism is not merely an association in the social science domain; it is a movement also which makes feel the utility of social scientific knowledge in daily life and shows the way to inculcate it under any distressful situation. It has developed a different praxis of support services to the people while arranging research-based conversation, training, public-discussions along with cultural programs.
