WHERE THE MIND IS WITHOUT FEAR

Aren’t you the ones who worship Maa with devotion

Aren’t you the ones who plead for every portion?

Aren’t you the ones who pay the workers their due,

But cut a woman’s wages, though she works just as true?

Aren’t you the ones who send your daughters away,

To serve in silence, with no voice to say?

Aren’t you the ones who claim women must bear,

While the man sits crowned, without a care?

Aren’t you the ‘man’ who shapes the law’s foundation,

As if women’s rights were mere decoration?

We are the women, we are the Mother,

We are the daughters who honour one another,

We can do all that a living being may,

And surpass what any man dares to say!
